Looking sharp in the afternoon sun, an ex-LV C420 in fairly fresh D&H paint peaks out of the enginehouse at Mechanicville. Sister C420, still in Cornell Red, and ex-RDG GP39-2 wait outside.
408 is actually the trailing unit of a Westbound consist that is returning to its train after taking on fuel.
Delaware & Hudson #408 (Alco C420) was built in 1964 as Lehigh Valley 408 and acquired by D&H in March 1976
